ROMANTIC CHICKEN is about the everyday mysticism of both chicken (food/creature) and recipes (instruction/poem). It is also a practical (well, mostly practical) guide to cooking a whole chicken. Designed and illustrated by Eva Claycomb.
In celebration of the first edition, TART vinegar produced a special blend featuring herbs & citrus that is especially delicious when dribbled over a hot, crispy piece of chicken skin. The book was released with a themed reception at Fredericks & Mae, in New York City, in the fall of 2024. A completely reimagined second edition was released in 2025.
